<p>Byrnes RB Marcus Lattimore announced a commitment to USC Tuesday during a news conference at his church in Spartanburg.  Several hundred family members, friends and general fans filled the church.  Lattimore picked the Gamecocks over Auburn.  He&#8217;s the highest rated national recruit to commit to USC under Steve Spurrier.</p>

<p>Former Spartanburg High School and NFL running back Stephen Davis, an Auburn alum, was in attendance.  He had become a sounding board for Lattimore thru the recruiting process. </p>
