The Southern Conference Monday announced the coaches pre-season football poll and all conference team.

The Southern Conference football television schedule is out. All of the in-state league teams will get at least one appearance on the tube this season. All of the games will be on SportsSouth.
That includes Furman’s home game against Elon on October 3rd, Wofford’s game against Appalachian State in Spartanburg on October 17th, Wofford at the Citadel on November 7th and the Terriers game at Furman on November 21st.
Below is the comple schedule:
Sept. 19 Western Carolina at Georgia Southern 7:00
Oct. 3 Elon at Furman 3:00
Oct. 10 Chattanooga at Samford 3:00
Oct. 17 Appalachian State at Wofford 3:00
Oct. 24 Georgia Southern at Appalachian State 3:00
Nov. 7 Wofford at The Citadel 3:00
Nov. 14 Appalachian State at Elon 3:00
Nov. 21 Wofford at Furman 3:00
College of Charleston third baseman Joey Bergman has been voted the Southern Conference Player of the Year by the league’s sports media association. Bergman leads the nation in hitting with a .465 average. He also has scored a SOCON record 86 runs. Also honored was The Citadel’s Wes Wrenn as the league’s Pitcher of the Year. Wrenn is 9-2 with a 3.84 ERA going into the SOCON tournament tomorrow in Greenville.
