The high school basketball “Weekend of Champions” begins tonight at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia. Tonight the 4A girls and boys will titles will be determined.
The girls game features Spring Valley against Goose Creek. Spring Valley is lead by coach Ann Long and is the defending state champion.

The girls will tip off at 7:00 tonight.
Following the Vikings and Gators will be the 4A boys championship between Lexington and Gaffney. Lexington coach Baily Harris is making his first trip back to the title game since 2000.

Gaffney is known as a football power but don’t tell that to Indians hoops coach Mark Huff. His team is becoming one of the regular powers in 4A hoops.
