Well this is the farewell Braves Report.  After months of bringing you the state’s best Braves coverage, it’s time to bid the 2011 season farewell.  The September collapse was completed last night.  Mike joins us to discuss, and of course, look ahead.

The Braves are  essentially down to a one game playoff tonight.  They send Tim Hudson to the mound to take on the Phils Joe Blanton.  We also foreshadow a bit, and play out certain scenarios if the Braves were to make the playoffs tonight.

Two games remain in the NL Wildcard race, and the Braves are still up by a game in the standings.  They lost to the Phils 4-2 last night, but the Cardinals dis them a huge favor by losing to the Astros.  Atlanta sends Derek Lowe to the mound tonight to try to clinch a playoff berth.  His counterpart will be Roy Oswalt.

We’re down to 3 games remaining in the regular season, and the Braves are fighting for their playoff lives.  They remain a game up on the Cards in the NL Wild Card chase, but are welcoming the Phillies to Turner Field.  St. Louis, on the other hand, is headed down to Houston.  This is going to be interesting.  We discuss with Mike.

The Braves are in a battle for their playoff lives.  The month of September has not be kind to Atlanta, and at the same time the Cardinals have decided to get extremely hot.  Since we can’t seem to figure it out, we pass the onus on to Mr. Morgan to help explain what in the world is happening in the NL Wildcard race.

The Braves are on a two game winning streak after dropping 4 straight.  Their mini-winning streak came just in time, as Atlanta tries to protect their NL wild-card lead over the St. Louis Cardinals.  We discuss this with Mike, and also how the roster is shaping up, health-wise, for the stretch run of the final few weeks.

All the fuss is about the slide the Bravos have been in since the start of September.  They’ve lost four straight, and are now just up 4.5 games on St. Louis.  Tonight we discuss the potential of a slide now, for a nice run in the playoffs in return.

The Braves are sliding in a bad way, and are now in the fight of their lives trying to ensure a NL Wildcard birth, up 4.5 games on the St. Louis Cardinals.  Mike Morgan believes the solution may be arriving in Atlanta tonight in the form of the Florida Marlins.  We also discuss where the pitching rotation stands, health-wise, as of today.
