The South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association announced their state players of the year in both boys’ and girls’ high school basketball Wednesday, as well as their all-state teams for each classification. Each of the following student-athletes were named Player of the Year in their respective classification:
Boys:
AAAA: Sindarius Thornwell (Lancaster)
AAA: Davaris McGowens (Eastside)
AA: Marcus Stroman (Keenan)
A: Xavier Holmes (Great Falls)/Shaquille Mitchell (Baptist Hill) *co-players of the year
Girls
AAAA: Xylina McDaniel (Spring Valley)
AAA: Khadijah Sessions (Myrtle Beach)
AA: Madison Floyd (Broome)
A: Naomi Moore (C.E. Murray)
