Steve Spurrier just wrapped up his weekly SEC teleconference. The Head Ball coach and his group of Gamecocks open the season tomorrow night against Southern Miss. You can hear all of Spurrier’s comments below.

Spurrier said he still hasn’t heard anything from the NCAA about possible suspensions tomorrow night.
“Most of our guys I think are going to play,” Spurrier said. Got one or two that may not at the last moment. But if they don’t, that is part of the game.
“We’re just approaching the game with several situations and we just have to wait and see.”
Spurrier said again that Stephen Garcia will start at quarterback but freshman Connor Shaw will play in the first half. He also said freshman running back Marcus Lattimore will play early too.
Tomorrow night’s game kicks off at 7:30 in Columbia.
