The Citadel Tuesday practice report

The Citadel Football team worked out in their final two-a-day session of fall camp on Tuesday at Maybank Triplets Practice Facility at Willson Field. The Bulldogs worked out for two-and-a-half hours in overcast conditions in the low-80’s in the morning and then again for two hours under sunny skies in the afternoon with temperatures in the upper-80’s.

Coach Kevin Higgins after Day 10:

“We had a better afternoon practice than morning practice today. We went in full pads again and worked hard on fundamentals and techniques.”

“Our wide receivers must be more physical on their stalk blocking so we dedicate a period a day to go live against the defensive backs. Both offense and defense worked on our red zone attack against each other.”

“We finished practice with another two-minute drill. Jeremy Buncum had a big interception which sealed it for the defense. Sam Keeler and Ryan Sellers kicked well for the second day in a row”.

The team will return to practice at Maybank Triplets Practice Facility for practice on Wednesday at 2:15 p.m.  The Citadel will host Meet the Bulldogs on Saturday, Aug. 21, following a scrimmage at 1:15 p.m.
