Under the direction of head coach Harold Nichols, the Presbyterian College football team had a successful first practice of the 2010 season.
“Today was the first step in a long journey,” Nichols said. “I believe there was some carry over from spring practice to today – and that is a good sign. “We put in a lot today and our players grasped what we were trying to accomplish. The effort level was very good. We are starting to get to where our goals are. The freshmen showed up today and mixed n well with the veterans. Overall, everyone did a good job.
“Today was the first time since I’ve been head coach that I saw leadership on our team. I am excited, but we have a long way to go.”
