A closer: Swinney is proving he can sell
I think we can safely say Clemson coach Dabo Swinney is one heck of a recruiter. I’ll be the first to admit there are plenty of times I roll my eyes at some of his hokie “ALL IN” commentary, but you have to hand it to him for getting people to buy into what he’s selling.
Of course he is selling Clemson football and that’s not always a tough thing to do. It is, however, pretty tough to sell it to someone that is being offered millions of dollars to leave the program. Here are a few of the highlights: Last year C.J. Spiller turned down lucrative NFL dollars to return for his senior season, defensive coordinator Kevin Steele turned down a big pay day from Tennessee to remain in Tiger Town and of course Kyle Parker just turned down a reported one million plus to play another year of football at Clemson.
Say what you want about Dabo, but the guy must be pretty convincing. Then again, what should we expect from a guy that managed to go from a real estate salesman to a head football coach at a major FBS school in a matter of six years.

Dabo is only one season into his head coaching career and he, in many ways, remains an unproven commodity. However, one season, one ACC Atlantic division title and a slew of guys turning down big money to be “all in” has his legend growing fast.
