USC associate head baseball coach Chad Holbrook will meet next week with Winthrop officials to dicuss their vacant head coaching position. Holbrook said no definite date for the interview has been set but it could take place on Thursday.
Winthrop is seeking a replacement for Joe Hudek who was fired June 30th after 19 seasons with the Eagles. Holbrook just completed his second season at USC. He is considered one of the top recruiters in the country.
