Winthrop Thursday fired head baseball coach Joe Hudak afer 19 seasons. Athletic director Tom Hickman said he felt the program needed a change in leadership.
Hudak won 662 games and three Big South Conference championships. But over the past four seasons, the Eagles’ record was just five games over .500.
This season Winthrop was 27-30 and finished sixth in the Big South.
