Clemson outfielder and quarterback Kyle Parker was the 26th pick of the Major League Baseball Draft Monday night by the Colorado Rockies.
Last year the Rockies paid their first round pick a 3.9 million dollar signing bonus.
Parker was the first player from the Palmetto State selected. Parker is, of course, the quarterback on the Tiger football team. He threw for 20 touchdowns last season. Without him, the Tigers would have to turn to redshirt freshman Tajh Boyd.
