Wofford finished the regular season with a 26-8 record and earned a No. 13 seed in the NCAA tournament. The Wisconsin Badgers, who earned the No. 4 seed in the East Regional, enter the tournament with a 23-8 overall record.

“We are excited about the opportunity to play in our region at Jacksonville,” said head coach Mike Young. “Playing Wisconsin is a tall order, they have great players and are well coached. We will get down to business here and take a really good team to Jacksonville and hopefully give ourselves a chance to win.”

The trip marks the first time in program history the Terriers have earned a bid to the NCAA tournament. Wofford enters the tournament as the Southern Conference champion after defeating Appalachian State in the SoCon title game last week. The game will be the second meeting between Wofford and Wisconsin, as the teams met early on December 3, 2007.

Tickets for the first round will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15. Information is available by contacting the Wofford ticket office at (864) 597-4091. Game time will also be announced on Monday.

The winner of Wofford’s first-round game will face the winner of the game between No. 5 seed Temple and No. 12 seed Cornell on Sunday, March 21
