USC reserve quarterback Aramis Hillary and his brother were arrested early Thursday morning by Lexington County deputies. Aramis was charged with purchasing alcohol by a minor and drunkenness. His older brother, former Appalachian State star CiCory (CoCo) Hillary was charged with DUI.

Hillary red-shirted his freshman year and has barely seen the field during his two years at Carolina. The USC football team is off for spring break this week. Steve Spurrier has not commented on Hillary’s arrest.

Even before the arrest there was heavy speculation that Hillary could end up transferring to a school that better suits his style and ability. This could expedite that scenario. I think it should also be noted that Hillary is an SEC Acadmeic Honor Roll member and has been regarded as a standup guy since his days at Strom Thurmond High School. He clearly made a huge mistake Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
