Clemson picked up a commitment Tuesday from Shrine Bowl DL Tra Thomas (6-1 275) of Wadesboro, NC.  Thomas picked the Tigers over Duke.  He will make his official visit with the Tigers January 8th.  Meantime, OL Laurence Gibson of Hargrave Prep, VA told hokiehaven.com that he’s not committed to Clemson even though he was quoting as saying he was after his official visit last weekend.  Gibons plans to take other official visits.  He has visited Boston College, Auburn and Virginia Tech as well as Clemson.  Auburn was an unofficial visit.
