The USC basketball team played its exhibition game against Kentucky Wesleyan Thursday night in Columbia and as expected cruised to a 78-55 victory. Five Gamecocks scored in double figures led by Sam Muldrow with 17 points including a pair of three pointers. The Gamecocks’ top scorer from a year ago, Devan Downey, managed just six points on 1-7 shooting, but he did have seven assists and three steals. The Gamecocks open their season at home November 13th against Alabama A&M.
