The USC basketball team will face Richmond next year. It has been reported that the Spiders will face the Gamecocks in Columbia on a to-be determined date next season. The Spiders return four starters from a team that won 20 games last season.
USCcoach Darrin Horn has not confirmed the game but it is well known that he’s made an effort to beef up the Gamecocks non-conference slate in his second year. So far he has Western Kentucky, Baylor, Clemson, Furman, Wofford and now Richmond on the slate. There are five games that still haven’t been released.
And Clemson center Catalin Baciu underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder late last month but is expected to be fine within a couple of weeks. Baciu played in only nine games as a true freshman but is expected to have a bigger role next season.
